MICHAEL D. SMITH
Mr. Smith is an attorney at McElfish Law Firm representing plaintiffs in catastrophic personal injury and insurance bad faith cases. He is an experienced trial attorney who has litigated and tried to verdict over 30 jury trials.
Prior to being admitted to the California Bar in 2000, Mr. Smith was a roadway design engineer for eight years with the engineering consulting firm CH2M. He has extensive experience with Caltrans’ standards, including signing and striping, roadway geometrics and traffic safety devices. Mr. Smith uses this background to specialize in dangerous roadway cases, including Government Tort Claims Act and design immunity litigation.
When not practicing law, Mr. Smith enjoys a variety of activities, particularly skiing and boating, with his wife and twin twelve-year-old boys.
